Tentatively October 2027•Venue to be announced
Thinkdemy’s flagship award platform for design, where rejected work gets a second chance. First held in 2018, Rejected returns in 2027.
Rejected is the flagship award platform of Thinkdemy: a design expo with a twist, built for the work that was turned down, overlooked or deemed infeasible. It gives design professionals, freelance designers and design students a stage for their rejected work, concepts and ideas, and a real shot at the Thinkdemy Award for Design Excellence.
Rejected was first held in 2018 at Drik Gallery, Dhanmondi, as the first design expo of its kind in Bangladesh. In 2027, it returns. Every detail of that first edition lives in the Previous Rejected Expo section below.
A stage for your work, with online and offline exposure
A room full of fellow designers and industry experts
A part of one of the largest design movements in Bangladesh
A certificate and endorsement from Thinkdemy & partner organizations
This is where Thinkdemy’s signature design award is won. Winners, selected by the expo judges, are announced on Radio (Dhaka FM 90.4) and in newspaper (The Daily Star), and celebrated on Thinkdemy’s Official Facebook Page and the ‘Rejected’ Website.
Rejected welcomes work across the following categories, from architecture to products and everything in between.
All kinds of architectural designs, including Naval Architecture & Automotive Design
From clothing to accessories, any rejected design related to fashion can be exhibited
Logo design, brand guidelines, brand collateral, packaging and lettering
Facebook promotional posts, newspaper ads and all kinds of static visuals for promotional purposes
User Interface & User Experience Design, including mobile app layouts, website layouts and software interfaces

Exhibitors at Rejected 2018 followed these guidelines.
The expo was free for all visitors. Exhibitors paid a fee to exhibit their work.
For freelancers and design professionals exhibiting solo
Exhibition Fee:

For agencies and teams (2 - 4 people) exhibiting as a group

Rejected is Thinkdemy’s flagship design award platform: an expo where rejected design work is showcased. The 2018 edition was a first of its kind in Bangladesh, open to designers from any part of the country.
Because it exists for rejected, unappreciated and infeasible design work, and gives it a second chance in front of design experts and the designer community.
Online and offline exposure, a chance to network with fellow designers and industry experts, a certificate and endorsement from Thinkdemy & partner organizations, and the chance to win the “Thinkdemy Award for Design Excellence”.
They filled up the application form, got their project approved by the team, paid to secure a spot, and set up their installation(s) at the venue before the expo.
